Upper Room H.S. Ministry will be going to CLE 21:6 in January 2023. For more information and registration go to the Upper Room H.S. Ministry Webpage (click on the title). CLE 21:6 is a day sponsored by the Office of Youth Ministry of the Diocese of Cleveland to ignite teens in their faith and gather in fellowship as a young Church. Exploring Revelation 21:6, CLE 21:6 will help lead teens to the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, Jesus, fully present as the Source and Summit of our faith in the Eucharist.
Blanket Sunday donations are still being collected. Funds from the appeal are used to purchase and distribute blankets and other bedding needs to homeless and low-income families in the greater Akron area. Blanket Sunday envelopes will be in the pews. Please make out checks to “Queen of Heaven SVDP” and place your envelope in with your regular parish donation this week or next week. True Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist Saturday, October 8, 2022, 1:00 - 7:30 p.m. NET Ministries dynamic retreat (for grades 6th-12th) will be in the PLC and the church, and includes Mass, Adoration & Confession. Download and fill out the registration form on the parish website at www.queenofheavenparish.org/upper-room and then hand it in at PSR or Upper Room.
Little Rock Scripture Study starts on WEDNESDAY, September 28TH, 6:30-8:30 P.M. in rooms 3-5 OF the Parish Life Center. The Study will run every Wednesday for ten sessions skipping Thanksgiving week. No formal or previous Bible knowledge is required.
We need YOU! We are so very blessed to have such a large, beautiful parish property… but we do have a LARGE property that we would like to continue to keep beautiful. It can take many hours for a few people, or it can take a few hours for many people. Do you have an occasional hour or two to help us by being part of our Parish Beautification Ministry? Simple projects can range from picking up trash to planting some colorful flowers and shrubs or helping with the weeding on a regular basis. “Bring Your Pets to Mass,” an outdoor Mass with pet blessing will commemorate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi and his love of animals. It will be held at 11:00 am Mass on Sunday, October 2 for attendees and their pets (on leashes or caged, please). Bring your lawn chair. In case of rain, take your pets into the church for the 11:00 am Mass.

Journey to Peace Bereavement Support – a ministry of information, consolation, spiritual, and emotional support – is offering a free six-week series on Mondays at Queen of Heaven Church from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Gathering Space beginning on September 12 and running through October 17, 2022. The ministry members will strive to provide support and guidance for daily living for anyone suffering grief, whether recent or lingering from the past. On Sunday, August 21st, the vigil of the feast day of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Heaven Parish will be hosting a free all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast in the church pavilion after the 11:00 a.m. Mass. (starting around 12:00 p.m.). All are welcome to attend.

Queen of Heaven Parish is hosting a cluster parish pilgrimage to the Sorrowful Mother Shrine in Bellevue, Ohio, on Monday, August 22, in honor of our patronal feast day of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The cost of the trip is $25.00 per person which includes transportation to the shrine (Barons Bus), Mass, lunch, time for group and private devotion, and time at the shrine gift shop. We will depart at 9:15 a.m. from the Queen of Heaven parking lot and will arrive back at the church approximately 5:30 p.m. To reserve your seat please contact Queen of Heaven Parish Office at (330) 896-2345 or office@qofh.church. Then mail or drop off your check (payable to “Queen of Heaven” and in the memo line “Shrine Trip”) to 1800 Steese Road, Uniontown, OH 44685. We will also accept credit cards at the parish office (M-F, 9:00 a.m-4:30 p.m.). We are taking reservations on a first come basis. The Ozanam Center in Akron located at the Visitation of Mary Church, 93 Kent Street, Akron, OH 44305, serves the people of our area with food and clothing. The center is a volunteer only based ministry. The center is only open from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays except for holidays (volunteers come a half hour early). We are looking for more volunteers to help with distribution, especially sorting clothing and bringing it to the clothing room for people to pick. The next Queen of Heaven scheduled volunteer day at the Ozanam Center is Saturday, August 27, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Call the Queen of Heaven Parish Office at (330) 896-2345 if you can volunteer on this day.
We are collecting gift cards of any type and amount to donate for the Parish Fun Days Gift Card Wheel. We are having a special collection for the gift cards the weekend of July 23 & 24 at all Masses. Please place them in the collection baskets. If you cannot be at Mass that weekend, please bring or mail them into the parish office on or before Tuesday, July 26th. Thank you for your help!
We are looking for volunteers to help make our Fun Days a success! Parish Fun Days are Friday, July 29, and Saturday, July 30, 5:30-9:30 p.m. each evening. If you would like to volunteer, a link for signing up will be sent out in a Flocknote (email messaging system from our parish). If you do not get our Flocknotes, please contact the parish office to sign up. In addition, a paper copy sign up sheet will be in the Gathering Space (back of the church) after all weekend Masses. On Sunday, July 24, after the 8:15 a.m. Mass, a free all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast will be held in the church pavilion in honor of grandparents living and deceased and in celebration of the feast day of Saints Anne and Joachim (Tuesday, July 26), the parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the grandparents of Jesus. All are welcome to attend.
