Each year in the Diocese of Cleveland, a special collection is taken up in all the parishes to support the ministries of the Office of Catechetical Services. This Diocesan Secretariat focuses on providing guidance and support that promotes the evangelizing mission of the Church through the catechetical efforts of all parishes and Newman Campus ministries in the Diocese. Ministries which will benefit from this collection include: faith formation for adults, teens and children, and family-based faith formation, as well as the ongoing formation of Parish Catechetical Leaders and catechists as missionary disciples. Newman Catholic Campus Ministries provides opportunities for students to deepen a relationship with Christ through prayer and worship, community, faith and Bible studies, retreats and service. 50TH JUBILEE CELEBRATION | The 50th Anniversary of Marriage Mass is celebrated for couples residing within the Diocese of Cleveland who celebrate 50 years of marriage during the 2022 calendar year (married in 1972). It will be on Saturday, June 25, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. Due to capacity and construction limitations, couples are asked to only bring two guests or special support people. We will fulfill seating in a first come first served process. Bethlehem Christian Families are coming to Queen of Heaven Parish after all Masses the weekend of April 30 & May 1, 2022. The carving of the Olive Wood Tree has been inherited since the time of our Lord, Jesus Christ. It was passed down from father to son for many generations including our family. More than 80% of the Christian community income comes from tourism and the olive wood trade. However, due to the ongoing difficult circumstances and the tremendous decrease in tourism, the Christian community has suffered many hardships that led many Christian families to leave their homes in search of work and safety. Our mission is to support and strengthen the presence of Christians in the Holy Land by selling their beautiful olive wood artifacts here in the United States. We have been so blessed and so grateful to have had the opportunity to travel all around the United States to different parishes for the past 15 years to represent these less fortunate Christians. We are happy to announce that we will be visiting Queen of Heaven Parish on the weekend of April 30 & May 1, 2022. We encourage you to look over our beautiful hand carved items.
