There’s a new option for Catholic high schoolers in Akron!
A high school with a higher purpose, the
Chesterton Academy of Akron takes inspiration from Saint Pope John Paul II in seeking to form joyfully Catholic students through our classical liberal arts curriculum.
Guided by the “Three Pillars Model” to build a robust Intellect, Character, and Spirituality, our syllabus allows students to read and discuss the great books of Western culture, wrestling with the indispensable ideas and issues of our age while seeking after the true, the good, and the beautiful.
As part of the Chesterton Schools Network based in Minneapolis, the Chesterton Academy of Akron aims to inspire and encourage parent-led Catholic schools across the nation.
By the end of their time at the Chesterton Academy, our students will have received cohesive, content-rich instruction in the Humanities, Math and Science, and the Fine Arts. Through a broad exposure to many different disciplines, our students not only perform well on entrance exams for top universities, but also expand their interests and uncover hidden talents to develop.
The Chesterton Academy of Akron will finally be opening its doors this fall at the former Saint Paul’s school building located at
1580 Brown Street, Akron, OH 44301.
