It's hard to believe that we are half-way through our Rocky Railway VBS! Your children/grandchildren have been sharing amazing God sightings and really seem to be enjoying their time together. A huge thanks is owed to our wonderful crew leaders and our tremendous teachers at each Station!
Updates/Reminders: *Tomorrow afternoon 6/24, we are encouraging all children, families, and crew leaders to pray the rosary together. We will still have our regular dismissal at 12:30pm. Then, you may walk over to the Church for the rosary which will start around 12:45pm. Every child will receive a blessed rosary made by our Queen of Heaven rosary makers! *Please remember that we would like our participants to wear their VBS t-shirts on Friday. Every child should now have their t-shirt. Let us know if you have not received one yet. *Mark your calendar for our Closing Mass this Saturday, June 26th at 4:30pm. We hope that all of you will come and celebrate the Eucharist with us! The children are encouraged to wear their VBS t-shirts and we will be singing the songs they have been learning throughout the week.
Today at VBS:
Crews learned the Bible Point for the day: JESUS' POWER HELPS US BE BOLD...TRUST JESUS!
At Sing & Play, we met Bible Memory Buddy Sierra and sang Rocky Railway songs.
In Bible Adventures, we celebrated with a healed man, then discovered how Saint Peter and Saint John boldly shared Jesus...even if it meant a stay in jail!
At Imagination Station, children watched as their Bold Blasters flew higher than expected! This reminds us that Jesus' power helps us be bolder than we thought possible. We also met Saint Jose Sanchez del Rio.
During Chew Chew Snacks, we ate a yummy treat together; Star Crunch (coal) and fruit cups.
At KidVid Cinema, we saw how Lauren helps in a community food program, trusting Jesus' power to help her boldly step out, serve, and share Jesus' love.
In Loco Motion Games we played Railway Waterway and Alpaca My Bags.
Finally, at Rocky Wrap-Up, we were engineers that took on a bold bridge-building challenge! We also received a purr-fect Bible Memory Buddy.
Thank you again for your donations to our Connecting Kids to Justice project!
If your child is enjoying the week, we encourage you to write a note of thanks to Fr. Durkee and our Parish. You can drop your notes in the mail to him at 1800 Steese Rd. Uniontown, Ohio 44685 or drop them off in our Parish Office. Thank you in advance for taking the time to do this and don't forget to mention their favorite part of VBS!
We look forward to seeing everyone again tomorrow for another fun-filled day! Take care and God bless.
