It is hard to believe that tomorrow is our last day of Totally Catholic Rocky Railway VBS! We have enjoyed every moment and pray that your children have enjoyed it as well!
Updates/Reminders: *Please remember that we would like our participants to wear their VBS t-shirts TOMORROW. *We will need extra volunteers to stay and help clean up and tear down our set on Friday at 12:45pm. *Mark your calendar for our VBS closing Mass this Saturday, June 26th at 4:30pm. We hope that all of you will come and celebrate the Eucharist with us! The children are encouraged to wear their VBS t-shirts and we will be singing the songs they have been learning throughout the week. Stay at the end of Mass to see a slideshow of pictures! *Tomorrow is the last day to bring in donations for our Connecting Kids to Justice project!
Today at VBS:
Crews learned the Bible Point for the day: JESUS' POWER LETS US LIVE FOREVER...TRUST JESUS!
At Sing & Play Express, we met Bible Memory Buddy Finn and sang Rocky Railway songs.
In Bible Adventures, children used velcro and hearts to explore God's plan for a forever friendship with us; then experienced Jesus' sacrificial, loving forgiveness.
At Imagination Station, we decorated and played with Perpetual Papers, and were reassured that Jesus' love for us will never end! We also received Saint Mary cards.
During Chew Chew Snacks, we ate a yummy treat together...Pretzels and fruit cups.
At KidVid Cinema, we saw that Isaac was sad when his brother Joel died. Today Isaac finds Jesus' strength through dance, and he dances to celebrate Joel's life on earth and the hope of his eternal life in heaven!
In Loco Motion Games we played Cross the Divide and Celebrate the Victory.
Finally, at Rocky Wrap-Up, we enjoyed today's Spotlight pictures, received a finn-tastic Bible Memory Buddy, and remembered that Jesus made a way for us to live with him forever.
Thank you again for your donations to our Connecting Kids to Justice project! You are helping families in Bolivia have clean water, farming supplies, food, and ways to stay healthy.
Today, each child received a blessed rosary as a gift from the Rosary Makers, a beautiful ministry we have here at Queen of Heaven. During the Mysteries of the Rosary, we are asked to meditate on the events of Jesus' life. It is a beautiful prayer and we highly encourage you to pray the rosary with your children.
We look forward to seeing everyone again tomorrow for the last day!
