There will be a VIRTUS® training session at Queen of Heaven Parish on Sunday, November 17, at 5:30 p.m., in the Parish Life Center. VIRTUS® is a nationally recognized program to train those who minister, work and volunteer on how to identify signs of sexual abuse in children. VIRTUS® training is mandatory for anyone working or volunteering with the youth. The VIRTUS® programs help the Church to be a safe haven for children and a messenger for child sexual abuse prevention within the Church and society in general. We seek to achieve this lofty goal through our child sexual abuse prevention program Protecting God's Children®.
