The parish office is now accepting Mass Intentions for your loved ones for 2023. You may schedule a maximum of three Masses per household at this time to give all parishioners an opportunity to schedule. Suggested donation per Mass Intention is $10.00. In May 2022, we will accept more than three Masses for your loved ones. Thank you for understanding! “Contemplating the Luminous Mysteries with Our Lady” retreat day will be held at St. Mary Parish, 750 S. Main St, Akron, on Saturday, April 9, 2022. This Come and See experience at Borromeo and Saint Mary Seminaries provides a retreat day for men between 17 and 44 years of age, offering the opportunity to experience life at the seminary. It has been a beautiful year at St. Francis de Sales where we have focused our daily activities around our school theme of “Pray, Work, Play.” We have gathered as a school community to worship, learn and grow closer to Jesus! At this time of the school year, we begin to look forward to, and plan for, the upcoming year. Our registration for the 2022-23 school year is currently open and our Kindergarten assessment is right around the corner on Tuesday, April 5 and Wednesday, April 6! All requests for Kindergarten assessment appointments should be requested no later than Friday, April 1, and can be made by calling the school office at (330) 644-0638. Currently, we are also accepting registrations for our Preschool and Pre-K classes. This Friday, March 25, Queen of Heaven Parish will pray a Mass and Rosary at 12:00 p.m. in the church. Pope Francis has announced the he, along with the all Bishops of the world, will simultaneously consecrate Russia and the Ukraine to The Immaculate Heart of Mary, on March 25th, the Feast of the Annunciation. This will take place at the Vatican and in Fatima, Portugal, at 5:00 PM which is 12:00 noon our time. To unite our hearts and prayers with the Pope and the Bishops at this very special time in history, we will hold a Mass at 12:00 noon here at the church followed by the Rosary. Mary has requested also, that we, her children, say a Rosary every day and participate in the First Five Saturdays of devotion to her Immaculate Heart.

This Saturday the City’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee along with Green Local Schools and the Green Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Dementia-Friendly training. This hour long training is for any business or individual who interacts with people of all ages especially our seniors. This Mass is celebrated annually on or near the feast day of St. Joseph, the patron saint of a happy death.
