ATTENTION SENIOR CITIZENS! Catholic Charities Summit Adult Day Services provides daytime care and support for older adults Monday-Friday. We serve adults who would benefit from a social and interactive program that addresses their physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. We also offer engaging activities, companionship, geriatric fitness, nutritional meals, medical monitoring, and supervision. Participants can attend full-time or on a part-time basis. Are you already separated/divorced but both of you want to try again? Then the Retrouvaille program may help you rediscover each other again. RETROUVAILLE, which means rediscovery, is supported by the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, but it is open to couples of all faiths. This program consists of a weekend experience for couples plus six follow up sessions. The next Retrouvaille weekend is Friday – Sunday, August 26-28. A registration fee of $200.00 is required to confirm your reservation. It takes about 1400 volunteers to make The FEST possible. We need all sorts of help from setting up the grounds on the days before, to singing in The FEST Choir, to working one of the food or activity booths. We need you. CATHOLIC CEMETERIES ASSOCIATION IS SEEKING HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO HELP AT THE FEST! Catholic Cemeteries Association is looking for 15-20 energetic high school student volunteers to help us make and distribute free sno-cones at this year’s FEST on Sunday, August 7, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., at the Center for Pastoral Leadership in Wickliffe. Volunteers will work in 2-hour shifts crushing ice, putting ice in sno-cone cups, and pouring flavored syrups into the sno-cone cups. Volunteers will be free to enjoy the FESTivities after their assigned 2-hour shift, or they can take a break and work another shift. An Approved Support Group under the Department for Marriage and Family Ministry – Diocese of Cleveland A "Caring and Sharing" session for those struggling with divorce, separation or widowhood will be held on Monday, July 11th from 7:30-9:00 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary's Convent Building, 1945 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls. If your answer is yes, then Good Samaritan Hunger Center needs you. We have several opportunities for students over age 14 without a parent or 5-14 with a parent or other adult to volunteer. We especially need volunteers on Wednesday mornings at Forest Lodge, 260 Greenwood Ave. from 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m., the last three Wednesdays of each month.
