Queen of Heaven’s St. Vincent de Paul Society will be having a school supply donation drive. The items donated will be delivered to St. Augustine and St. Francis de Sales schools. FUN DAYS will be on Friday, July 28 and Saturday, July 29, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. There will be midway games, inflatable obstacle courses, climbing rock wall, Magical Train rides and a basket raffle. Also, a car raffle is being held for a fuel-economy cinnabar (red) metallic 2023 Buick Encore GX Preferred, ebony interior and accents, donated by the VanDevere Bunch. Raffle tickets, $20.00 each or six (6) for $100.00, are available in the church office, after weekend Masses and during the FUN DAYS. The drawing will be on Saturday night, July 29. Nurses of all denominations and all areas and status of service, their families and the entire community are invited to join in the 16th Annual Nurses’ Mass of Thanksgiving honoring nurses on Thursday, August 10, 7:00 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Church, with Fr. David Durkee as the celebrant. Peace Together Choir, an interdenominational group of vocalists/musicians, will lead the music for the Mass. A social will follow. An Approved Support Group under the Department for Marriage and Family Ministry – Diocese of Cleveland... A "Caring and Sharing" session for those struggling with divorce, separation or widowhood will be held on Monday, July 10, from 7:30-9:00 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary's Convent Building, 1945 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls. The Ozanam Center in Akron located at the Visitation of Mary Church, 93 Kent Street, Akron, OH, serves the people of our area with food and clothing through volunteers only. The center is only open from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays except for holidays (volunteers come a half hour early). We are looking for more volunteers to help with distribution, especially sorting clothing and bringing it to the clothing room for people to pick. The next Queen of Heaven scheduled volunteer days at the Ozanam Center are Saturdays, July 22 & August 19, 2023, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Call the Queen of Heaven Parish Office at (330) 896-2345 if you can volunteer.

The Diocese of Cleveland is offering Eucharistic Revival events throughout the year. Stadium Masses will be offered this summer for everyone in the diocese. These monthly Masses provide an opportunity for Catholics in the diocese to gather for prayer, food, fellowship, and fun! The dates for the next scheduled Stadium Masses are Friday, July 28, Monday, August 14, and Sunday, September 10. These events are free to attend but do require registration. For individuals and families who are interested in bringing up the gifts during Mass, please note that there is a sheet on the desk in the Gathering Space each weekend where you can sign up to bring the gifts forward during Mass. You should check this sheet before Mass and sign up if it is not already full. The gifts are brought forward following the Prayers of the Faithful as the altar is being prepared. It’s a simple yet special way to be involved in the Liturgy.
