Journey to Peace Bereavement Support – a ministry of information, consolation, and spiritual & emotional support – is offering a free six-week series on Mondays at Queen of Heaven Church from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Gathering Space from April 1 through May 6. The ministry members will strive to provide support and guidance for daily living for anyone suffering grief, whether recent or lingering from the past. Come and enjoy five inspirational talks by various local speakers during Queen of Heaven Parish Lenten Speaker Series. Each presentation will begin on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m., after the 6:30 p.m. Mass. A social with cookies and refreshments will be served after each presentation. Formal communal prayers will begin most hours, and there will also be quiet prayer time. Please join our parish community as we pray the Liturgy of the Hours Vespers (Evening Prayer) once a week on Tuesdays at 4:30 p.m. in the church. Evening Prayer (also called Vespers) is part of the Liturgy of the Hours, also known as the Divine Office. In the Liturgy of the Hours, the Church fulfills Jesus' command to "pray always" (Luke 18:1; see also 1 Thessalonians 5:17). Through this prayer, the people of God sanctify the day by continual praise of God and prayers of intercession for the needs of the world. Do not worry if you are unfamiliar with praying the Liturgy of the Hours –guidance will be provided.

Everyone is invited to an evening of Eucharistic Adoration with Benediction on Monday, August 7, from 7:00-8:00 p.m., in the church. We will be praying for a positive outcome of the special election on August 8.
FUN DAYS will be on Friday, July 28 and Saturday, July 29, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. There will be midway games, inflatable obstacle courses, climbing rock wall, Magical Train rides and a basket raffle. Also, a car raffle is being held for a fuel-economy cinnabar (red) metallic 2023 Buick Encore GX Preferred, ebony interior and accents, donated by the VanDevere Bunch. Raffle tickets, $20.00 each or six (6) for $100.00, are available in the church office, after weekend Masses and during the FUN DAYS. The drawing will be on Saturday night, July 29. Nurses of all denominations and all areas and status of service, their families and the entire community are invited to join in the 16th Annual Nurses’ Mass of Thanksgiving honoring nurses on Thursday, August 10, 7:00 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Church, with Fr. David Durkee as the celebrant. Peace Together Choir, an interdenominational group of vocalists/musicians, will lead the music for the Mass. A social will follow.
