On Sunday, March 19, there will be a "Teaching Mass" for all PSR students and their parents. All students meet in the church at their designated grade level area for Mass. Parents are highly encouraged to attend this "Teaching Mass." Arrive at 9:15 as Mass will begin at 9:30 a.m. This Mass will fulfill your Sunday obligation. Pick up and drop off the students at the church.
On the evenings of Sunday, March 5, Monday, March 6, and Tuesday, March 7, the gifted speaker, Father Martin Connor, L.C., will be giving a Lenten Mission at Queen of Heaven entitled, “Busy Families, Busy Faith: How to Keep God and Church at the Center of a Hectic Week.” Babysitting will be provided. On Sunday, March 5, a complimentary dinner for all families attending the mission will be in the Parish Life Center starting at 6:00 p.m. before the Mission. Are you a teen in need of service hours? Are you at least in 4th grade and want to learn to be an altar server? We need you! Please consider God’s call to serve on the altar. Our next altar server training will be on Monday, March 13, 7:00 p.m. in the church. Please bring your old, dried palms from last year’s Palm Sunday to burn for use at Ash Wednesday Masses. Place them in the basket in the Gathering Space in the back of the church by Sunday, February 19. Thank you!
Catholic Renewal Ministries will host a Healing Mass on Friday, February 17, at 7:00 p.m., at Queen of Heaven Church. Fr. Bob Franco will be the celebrant. Journey to Peace Bereavement Support – a ministry of information, consolation, spiritual, and emotional support – is offering a free six-week series on Mondays at Queen of Heaven Church from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Gathering Space beginning on Monday, March 13 and running through April 17, 2023. The ministry members will strive to provide support and guidance for daily living for anyone suffering grief, whether recent or lingering from the past. The Queen of Heaven Music Ministry is open to all parishioners who have the desire to sing and worship the Lord. If you play a musical instrument or love to sing, and would like to use your talent for the Lord, Queen of Heaven Church has a place for you. The Music Ministry provides an avenue for you to share your gifts and be an integral part of the worship. Our choir practices are on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the church. Lent is just around the corner, and we need your help! There will be a meeting for all who would like to volunteer at the Friday Fish Dinners during Lent on Wednesday, February 1, at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Life Center (this was rescheduled from last week). It takes many volunteers to offer these Fish Fry Dinners, so please prayerfully consider helping. A bus will leave Queen of Heaven Church on Thursday morning, January 19, 2023, for an overnight pilgrimage to the March for Life in Washington D.C. We will return Friday night, January 20. The theme of the 50th annual march, titled “Next Steps: Marching in a Post-Roe America,” seeks to orient the national pro-life movement as it moves to dismantle abortion across all 50 states. We are celebrating the wonderful blessing of Roe v. Wade being overturned and a call to all pro-life people to work to build a culture of life in the United States of America. Lessons and Carols will be presented on Friday, December 16 at 7:00 p.m. by P.J. Chavez and his friends. Hosted by the Holy Name Society. The service includes carols and scriptural readings; music will be sacred and secular.
Monday, December 12, 2022, 6:00 p.m. Mass and a Free Mexican Feast & Talk following Mass in the Parish Life Center. During the feast, brothers P.J. Chavez and Miguel Chavez will give a presentation about Our Lady of Guadalupe. P.J. Chavez is Director of Mission & Ministry for the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital and leads our parish in music at the 4:30 p.m. Saturday and the 11:00 a.m. Sunday Masses. Miguel Chavez is the Senior Vice President of Mission & Ministry for the Sisters of Charity Health System.
The parish office will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday on Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25. The office will resume their regular office hours on Monday, November 28 at 9:00 a.m.
